UACDL offers annual membership to private criminal defense attorneys, public defenders, and limited memberships for other. Attorney memberships allow access to UACDL resources and the members-only side of the website.

Access to UACDL’s Criminal Defense CLEs

UACDL is the premier source of defense-related legal education in Utah. We routinely bring a combination of local and national experts to ensure a quality blend of local insight with outside perspectives. We proudly punch above our weight to offer our members the same level of education that people elsewhere travel to get. Quality education is one of our primary missions.

Access to UACDL’s Listserv

Most UACDL members find that its listserv is the our best feature. A listserv allows members to send an email to one source that disseminates the email to all other subscribing members, like a chat board that exists via email. Our listserv is active, collaborative, and friendly. Members who don’t want to get more emails can opt-out of receiving the messages directly, and instead access them through a dedicated website that posts emails in a message board format.

Brief Bank Access

UACDL provides members with a brief bank of over 90 documents, the majority of which are motions to suppress. Members can easily navigate the brief bank and download pdf copies of redacted motions that members have submitted.

Video Library

UACDL members get access to a growing video library, where a curated list of former CLE presentations are available to stream. Members can use these videos to submit self-study credits for CLEs. They can also be viewed as an easy, on-demand way of getting familiar with various topics that matter to criminal defense.

Becoming a UACDL Member

Join us by picking one of the membership options below.

By becoming a member of UACDL you are certifying that you are either a practicing criminal defense attorney in the state of Utah, or your current employment status puts you in one of the categories of a limited membership option. Limited members do not get access to the listserv.

Please review our (1) terms of membership/purchase and (2) listserv policies before joining. You’ll be required to abide by both sets of policies, and your decision to become a member signifies your agreement to these policies.
